CMA Video Contest winner 'I Will Earn It'The video “I Will Earn It,” produced by a team of students from the Philippines, earned the top honor in IMA’s first-ever CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) video contest. The contest, which was developed to complement IMA’s new “You've Got to Earn it” advertising campaign, asked participants to develop a two-minute or less video to showcase their pride in CMA certification and inspire others to recognize the benefits of IMA’s credential.

A task force of IMA young professional members whittled the entries down to the top four which were then posted onto Facebook for final public voting and selection. The winning entry, “I Will Earn It (The Road to Becoming a CMA)” is designed as a video game and features a student eluding various obstacles on his way to earning the CMA. It was produced by team members Patricia Adora G. Alcala, Fernando P. Tiu Jr., Alexis Paul M. Rodriguez, Angelo B. Manzano, and Monique N. Eballa. Their video will be screened during IMA’s Annual Conference & Expo in Denver this June.

For their first-place win, the team earned $2,500 and travel costs for all team members to attend the Annual Conference. All team members will also receive a Wiley CMAexcel CMA Review Course Scholarship, which provides comprehensive online materials for both CMA exam parts.

Other contest finalists were:
