IMA Announces Winners of its Young Professional of the Year Award

 IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) today announced the winners of its Fourth Annual Young Professional of the Year Award, which recognizes the finest young professionals with outstanding and creative approaches to problem solving within the accounting and finance profession. The awards will be bestowed during IMA's 96th Annual Conference & Expo in Los Angeles in June. 

This year’s winners include:
•    Adrien Dubourg, CMA, of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Dubourg is the president of Descartes Consulting LLC, a management consulting firm. He has served as a board member of IMA’s Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter, including leading its Young Professionals and Academic Relations Committee.
   
•    Ashley Gibson, CMA, CPA, of Houston Texas. Ms. Gibson is a senior consultant in Audit & Enterprise Risk Services at Deloitte & Touche LLP. She served as chair of IMA’s Young Professional Advisory Committee and co-chair of IMA’s Young Professional Digital Community. 

•    Brian Neale, CMA, CPA, of Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. Neale is currently a finance manager at General Mills, where he is a member of the company’s Financial Leadership Development Program.  Mr. Neale spoke at IMA’s 15th Annual Student Leadership Conference in Indianapolis last year.

•    Tasheé Singleton, of Columbus, Ga. Ms. Singleton is the director of public housing operations for the Housing Authority of Columbus, Georgia. She is the IMA Gulf South Council chair-elect and has served for many years with her local IMA chapter.

In addition to their recognition at this year’s Annual Conference, award winners are also invited to speak at IMA’s 16th Annual Student Leadership Conference, to be held Nov. 12-14, 2015, at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. 

“IMA recognizes the accomplishments of this distinguished group of young professionals, who have achieved considerable success and given service to the profession so early in their careers,” said Jenna Uszenski, staff liaison to the IMA Young Professionals Committee. “We expect that these individuals will continue to serve as leaders within IMA, and we look forward to their ongoing contributions to the profession.”
