IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is pleased to announce that as of July 1, 2017, IMA Educational Case Journal (IECJ®) has two new associate editors, Jason Porter and Leif Sjöblom.
“We express our heartfelt gratitude to our two outgoing Associate Editors, Tom Klammer and Paul Juras,” said Raef Lawson, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, IMA’s vice president-research and policy and IECJ editor. “Tom and Paul have faithfully served since the inception of IECJ in 2008 and are a big reason for the strong reputation of the case journal. Thank you Tom and Paul! We fully anticipate Jason and Leif will maintain the high quality standard.”
Jason C. Porter, Ph.D., is an associate professor of accounting at the University of South Dakota. Jason is a gifted teacher with several teaching awards, serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Accounting Education, and is frequent presenter at the AAA’s Conference on Teaching and Learning in Accounting.
Jason earned a doctoral degree at the University of Georgia and bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Brigham Young University. Prior to joining the faculty at USD, he was an associate professor at the University of Idaho. Jason can be reached at Jason.porter@usd.edu.
Professor Leif Sjöblom, Ph.D., is a professor of financial management, at IMD Switzerland. Leif has been a very active IECJ reviewer over the years as well as for other journals and case conferences. Prior to joining IMD, he worked in marketing, production and in the telecommunications industry.
He earned a Ph.D. in business and master’s degree in statistics from Stanford University, a MBA from Helsinki School of Economics, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Fulbright fellow. His areas of special interest are restructuring of the telecommunications industry, performance measurement and shareholder value creation, and micro-entrepreneurship in sub-Saharan Africa. Leif can be contacted at leif.sjoblom@imd.org.
