ICMA® (Institute of Certified Management Accountants) announced the winners of its most recent CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) medals, recognizing, in separate categories, professional and student members who participated in the English and Chinese language exam programs.

English Exam: Professional Category


Of the 4,979 who took the CMA exam in English during the January/February 2017 testing window, medals were awarded to the following professionals for their exceptional performance:
  • Karan Bhople, of San Francisco, Calif., received the ICMA Gold Medal for achieving the highest exam score.
  • Kirk Paul Solon Sarmiento, of Manila, Philippines, received the ICMA Silver Medal for achieving the second-highest exam score.
  • Rewa Kamboj, of Overland Park, Kan., and Alissa Ryan, of Minneapolis, Minn., both received the ICMA Bronze Medal for achieving the third-highest exam score. Sandra Frazier Fornea, of Cypress, Texas, and Shousheng Fu, of Guangdong, China, both received an ICMA Certificate of Distinguished Performance.

English Exam: Student Category


In the university student category, Hariharan Ramasubramanian, of East Lansing, Mich., earned the Priscilla S. Payne Outstanding Student Performance Award for receiving the highest exam score as a student.

The following students were awarded a Student Certificate of Distinguished Performance: Abhishek Kapoor, of New Delhi, India; Eunice Ann Lazaro Libaton, of Navotas City, Philippines; Tian Wang, of Siming, China; and Yumei Wang, of Springfield, Mo.

Chinese Exam: Professional Category

Of the 5,613 individuals who took the CMA exam in Simplified Chinese during the April 2017 testing period, ICMA recognized the following professionals for their outstanding performance:
  • Yali Zhao, of Tianjin, received the ICMA Gold Medal for achieving the highest exam score.
  • Yangyang Li, of Beijing, received the ICMA Silver Medal for achieving the second-highest exam score.
  • Peng Shi, of Sichuan, received the ICMA Bronze Medal for achieving the third-highest exam score.
  • Shengwei Lin, of Chongqing, and Xian Ma, of Harbin, both received an ICMA Certificate of Distinguished Performance.
Chinese Exam: Student Category

In the university student category, Chongqian Li, of Wuhan, earned the Priscilla S. Payne Outstanding Student Performance Award for receiving the highest exam score as a student.

The following students were awarded a Student Certificate of Distinguished Performance: Sisi Dai, of Fujian; Jing Ren, of Zhejiang; Sicheng Yu, of Sichuan; and Yun Zhang, of Jiangsu.
