The integral role of supply chains in business value delivery and economic contribution has been highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Although finance and supply chain functions have a long history of partnership, recent supply chain disruption has prompted a greater need for collaboration across disciplines to solve global, industry-agnostic issues.
IMA, ACCA, and the Chartered Institute of Procurement Supply (CIPS) conducted a series of interviews and roundtables to consider current issues in supply chains from the perspective of the finance professional. The findings from these interviews and roundtables provide insight on how supply chains are developing, prescribe actions finance functions can take, and confirm that both finance and supply chain professionals are needed to address unprecedented challenges entities face.
