Jeff Thomson Again Named to Accounting Todays 100 Most Influential People in Accounting
IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is pleased to share the news that Jeff Thomson, CMA, CSCA, CAE, the association’s president and CEO, was once again named among Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting.”
Thomson joins the ranks of some of the profession’s most prominent leaders, including politicians, industry CEOs, and nonprofit presidents. Also included are members of some of IMA’s partners, including CalCPA, Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and NABA. Thomson has earned this distinction more than one dozen times since he became volunteer leader of the organization in 2008.
IMA members can view the full list and related article, which appeared in the December 2022 issue of Accounting Today, at Top 100 (guest or subscriber login required).
In naming Thomson to this list, Accounting Today notes that Thomson is part of a cadre of highly regarded association executives who will be retiring in 2023, and that he “leaves the Institute of Management Accountants vastly expanded in its membership and its global reach, and with a greatly enhanced reputation for supporting its members through difficult times.”
Members are encouraged to stay connected with Thomson via his Twitter account @IMA_JeffThomson, and through his CFO Insights column on Forbes.com. In addition, the January 2023 issue of Strategic Finance features an in-depth profile of Thomson, reflecting on his early career, his many years at IMA, and the accomplishments of the association under his leadership.
