Now Available: New Courses on Leadership, Excel, DE&I
IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is pleased to offer new courses on topics that can help members navigate the challenges of the current business environment and lead key initiatives within their organizations.
Check out these two new courses:
Teaming to Achieve: This course is designed to help participants explore the meaning of teamwork, its importance in building leadership skills, and how teams contribute to individual and organizational success. The course also examines the specifics of how to build an effective team, lead a team, develop a team, and encourage collaboration. Participants will come away with real tools they can use going forward. Offers 1.5 NASBA CPE credits.
Data Maintenance Using Intermediate Excel Skills: This course brings a real-world perspective on managing and scrubbing data as an essential step in ensuring reporting integrity. Providing "hands on" experience in cleaning an inventory data set in preparation of analysis, the course explains ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and discusses the five-step process that can be used to clean data. Offers 1.6 NASBA CPE credits.
In addition, IMA recently released the final course in its IMA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Practices Certificate™. This certificate features interactive exercises that clarify DE&I concepts, reveal the overlap between DE&I and sustainability, and illustrate ethical imperatives to champion DE&I initiatives within the finance and accounting profession. The content is based on IMA’s thought leadership and research publications and has many actionable practices to establish a sense of belonging, improve organizational innovation, and attract, retain, and promote diverse talent. All five courses are now available:

- Recognizing and Mitigating Bias
- The Human Aspect of Sustainability
- Championing DE&I in the Workplace
- Effective DE&I Practices
Participants who complete all courses will earn 8 NASBA CPE credits, a professional certificate, and a digital badge.
IMA also offers an essential certificate to help members increase their knowledge of sustainable business practices (see the recently released COSO report, “Achieving Effective Internal Control Over Sustainability Reporting,” for additional resources in this area, as well as the IMA Sustainable Business Management webpage).
As a complement to COSO’s groundbreaking report, the IMA Sustainability Business Practices Certificate™ guides participants through all aspects of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and effective sustainable business practices. It expertly covers the many essential risk management, compliance, and strategic considerations associated with this mission-critical topic. All six courses are now available:
