In October 2017, IMA? (Institute of Management Accountants) celebrated the two-year anniversary of the launch of CareerDriver?, a career-planning resource that helps IMA members evaluate their technical and leadership competencies in management accounting.

A free IMA member benefit, CareerDriver has seen more than 4,000 logins, more than 1,900 completed skills self-assessments, and more than 1,500 individual development plans. Forty-seven percent of its users are younger than 40 years old, 22% are CMA? (Certified Management Accountant) candidates, and 48% have their CMA certification. The top three skills gaps identified from completed self-assessments are conflict management, capital investment decisions, and information systems and software literacy.

A recipient of the 2017 ASAE ?Power of A? Silver Award, CareerDriver now has more than 1,000 learning resources, such as study courses, webinars, publications, and on-the-job activities, mapped to management accounting competencies.
