For more than 10 years, IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) has published CMA Connection to provide news, information, and inspiration to those who are CMAs and CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) candidates.
As the membership of IMA has evolved into one that includes primarily those who are CMAs or CMA candidates, we have decided that the focus on this newsletter needs to change in order to better address member needs.
For those who are already CMAs, information about general IMA news (and CMA news as well) can be found in Inside IMA, our monthly newsletter sent to all members. There, you’ll find features that were previously covered in CMA Connection: announcements of medal winners; corporate profiles; updates about the CSCA® (Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis) credential; and other features that appeal to the general membership.
CMA Connection will move to a candidate-focused publication: You’ll notice the change starting this issue. We will feature stories that help support and encourage those who are still preparing for the exam. This includes stories such as profiles, exam-taking tips, practice questions, and other resources that can help support candidates on their CMA journey. If you are a CMA candidate, there’s nothing you need to do. You will continue to receive CMA Connection on a quarterly basis.
If you are already a CMA, you will be removed from the CMA Connection distribution beginning with the July 2019 issue. If you would like to continue to receive CMA Connection, you may opt in at https://imanet.realmagnet.land/KeepCMAConnectioncomingtoyourinbox.
As we institute this change, please feel free to reach out to the editor if there are any topic areas or articles you’d like to see in the future.
