IMA Announces Winners of 2022 Annual Global Awards

 

Montvale, N.J., June 14, 2022 IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) announced today the winners of its annual Global Awards program during IMA’s Accounting & Finance Conference (IMA22). These awards acknowledge the accomplishments of IMA members who exemplify IMA’s mission and core values.

In the category of IMA Champion, which recognizes IMA members who have shown volunteer and leadership skills above and beyond what might be expected, IMA recognized five individuals: Lisa M. Book, CMA, CFM, CSCA, of the Louisville chapter; Loudie Jay Falguera, CMA, CPA, of the Philippines chapter; Javvadi H. Rao, CMA, CFM, of the Hyderabad chapter; Dr. Tara J. Shawver, CMA, of the Pennsylvania Northeast chapter; and Nancy J. Schroeder, CPA, chair of IMA’s Financial Reporting Committee.

The IMA Exemplary Global Board Member award recognizes a member of the IMA Global Board who demonstrates excellence as a board member through preparation, participation, and service. In this category, IMA recognized Dr. Di Wu, CMA, CPA, of the Los Angeles Metro chapter.

In the category of IMA Exemplary Young Professional, which recognizes IMA young professionals with outstanding and creative approaches to problem solving within the accounting and finance profession, IMA recognized Maria Alyssa Aguilar, CMA, of the Philippines chapter; and Qing (Jude) Zhu, CMA, CSCA, of the Nanjing CMA Elite Club. 

The IMA R. Lee Brummet Exemplary Educator award recognizes an IMA volunteer academic member who has distinguished themselves in the management accounting and finance profession. In this category, IMA recognized Daniel Siciliano, CMA, CFM, CPA, who supports IMA student case competitions; and Dr. Wendy Tietz, CMA, CSCA, CPA, of the Akron chapter. 

“Volunteerism is deeply embedded in IMA’s culture and is evidenced by the efforts of our Global Awards winners. We’re pleased to acknowledge these individuals for their outstanding commitment and service to IMA and our members,” said J. Stephen McNally, CMA, CPA, IMA’s 2021-2022 Global Board Chair.
