WHY  Today’s global business landscape is filled with risks and opportunities – advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and intelligent process automation (IPA) have entered the workplace. Though many perceive these technologies as a threat, they are actually an opportunity. IMA and MACPA will join forces to discuss both the impact of these technologies on accounting and finance jobs and how practitioners can add value by harnessing them. As rote and repetitive tasks are made obsolete, IMA President and CEO Jeff Thomson and MACPA and BLI CEO Tom Hood will focus on the emerging competencies practitioners will need to keep pace with change and explore the far-reaching consequences digitization has for education, hiring and management.

The simulcast will focus on:
  • The risks and opportunities of the global business environment
  • How technology is reshaping the accounting and finance profession
  • Ways humans can remain relevant in a digital environment
  • How education can best anticipate and adapt to growing challenges
The simulcast will last 75 minutes, including a 15-minute Q&A period, and will offer 1.5 NASBA CPE credits.
