Montvale, NJ
 – IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is currently seeking nominations for itsGlobal Awards, a program designed to recognize both members and nonmembers who demonstrate the skills that reflect IMA’s mission and core values. To nominate a deserving colleague before the March 28, 2014 submission deadline, visit: http://www.imanet.org/ima_membership/IMA_Global_Awards.aspx

For the first time ever, IMA is opening the awards to the general public. The Distinguished Advocate Award identifies a nonmember whose successes, achievements, dedication and professionalism bring credit to IMA, the profession and to themselves.

Additionally, there are four awards for IMA members, including the Exemplary Leadership, Volunteer and Board Member awards, as well as the Distinguished Member Award.

“With these awards, we recognize individuals who have contributed to IMA and the management accounting profession through their leadership, volunteerism and professional success,” said Chris Mishler, CMA, CIA, CISA, member of IMA’s Global Board of Directors’ Volunteer Leadership Board Committee and Subcommittee Chair for the Global Award Review. “This year, we are pleased to accept nominations of nonmembers for the newly created Distinguished Advocate Award.”

Winners will be honored this June at IMA’s 95th Annual Conference & Exposition in Minneapolis. For more information, contact Pat Stefanczyk, IMA senior board liaison, at (201) 474-1592 or pstefanczyk@imanet.org.
