Final Two Courses Available for IMA’s Sustainability Certificate

IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) recently released the final two courses of its six-course IMA Sustainability Business Practices Certificate self-study program. As environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and business sustainability requirements continue to evolve, this comprehensive certificate demystifies the topic, leveraging IMA’s expert thought leadership to help management accountants and financial professionals drive initiatives within their organizations. Participants will earn 10.8 NASBA CPE credits, a professional certificate, and a digital badge.

This essential certificate will guide participants through all aspects of ESG and effective sustainable business practices. It expertly covers the many essential risk management, compliance, and strategic considerations associated with this mission-critical topic. All six courses are now available:

  • Sustainability 101 
  • Finance Function Partnering 
  • Managing Climate Risk 
  • Sustainable Business Information and Reporting 
  • Measuring the Human Value of Human Capital 
  • Sustainable Business: Strategy, Planning & Performance 

In addition to its sustainability certificate, IMA also offers its IMA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Practices Certificate. This certificate features interactive exercises that clarify DE&I concepts, reveal the overlap between DE&I and sustainability, and illustrate ethical imperatives to champion DE&I initiatives within the accounting and finance profession. The content is based on IMA’s thought leadership and research publications and has many actionable practices to establish a sense of belonging, improve organizational innovation, and attract, retain, and promote diverse talent. 

Offering an anticipated eight NASBA CPE credits, the DE&I certificate currently includes the following courses: 

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion 101 
  • Recognizing and Mitigating Bias 
  • The Human Aspect of Sustainability 
  • Championing DE&I in the Workplace

The final course in this certificate, Effective DE&I Practices, will be released in March.
