The spirit of volunteerism is one of the many things that make IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) the leading organization for management accountants. Over the past century, IMA members have made remarkable contributions that empower the profession through advocacy, innovation, and leadership.
To honor those who reflect this spirit, all IMA members are invited to recognize their fellow professionals with a nomination for an IMA Global Award. These awards recognize accomplished, selfless, experienced, and distinguished individuals for their inspiring dedication to IMA and the profession. The deadline for submissions is just three days away: May 15, 2020.
Members can nominate outstanding volunteers for the following prestigious awards:
- IMA Champion: provides volunteer service "above and beyond the call of duty"
- Exemplary Board Member: serves as an example for all Board members to follow
- Lifetime Achievement Award: shows extraordinary leadership and dedication to IMA over a lifetime of service
- Exemplary Young Professional: displays an "outstanding and creative approach to problem solving"
Please review each award criteria before submitting a nomination. Due to the esteemed nature of these awards, IMA will not accept self-nominations.
Visit this link to submit a nomination, which will require you to answer questions about the nominee and to upload a nomination letter explaining why you feel the individual you are nominating should receive the specific award.
Pat Stefanczyk, CAE, IMA vice president of governance and volunteer relations, said, “The IMA Global Awards celebrate the sacrifice and excellence of our outstanding volunteers. We invite all members to put forth the names of those individuals who stand out from their peers and inspire all of us through the example they set.”
