IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is a mission-driven organization that couldn’t exist without the time, talent, and expertise of volunteers. IMA welcomes active members, from a variety of career levels and diverse backgrounds, to give volunteer service. Nominations to Open Soon for IMA Global Awards
Know someone who’s an outstanding volunteer? Someone who empowers others and exemplifies the spirit of service through their leadership, commitment, and creativity?
Beginning in April, members are invited to nominate outstanding volunteers for the prestigious IMA Global Awards. The award nomination page will open on March 19 and the deadline for the submission of nominations is April 17, 2020. Note that a member must be nominated by another IMA member; IMA will not accept self-nominations. The categories are:
- IMA Champion: provides volunteer service “above and beyond the call of duty”
- Exemplary Board Member: serves as an example for all Board members to follow
- Lifetime Achievement Award: shows extraordinary leadership and dedication to IMA over a lifetime of service
- Exemplary Young Professional: displays an “outstanding and creative approach to problem solving”
Pat Stefanczyk, CAE, IMA vice president of governance and volunteer relations, said, “The IMA Global Awards celebrate the sacrifice and excellence of our outstanding volunteers. We invite all members to put forth the names of those individuals who stand out from their peers and inspire all of us through the example they set.”
