Your Future in Focus at ACE2020

Registration is now open for IMA’s Annual Conference & Expo (ACE2020), to be held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis on June 21-24. Early Bird registration is available through March 31; visit www.imaconference.org to learn more.

Plus, you spoke and we listened: This year’s Conference offers changes that will make the experience more convenient – and relevant – than ever before. Improvements initiated this year include:

  • New condensed schedule, with comparable CPE credits: The main Conference will take place from Monday through Wednesday, with pre-conference activities and a welcome reception on Sunday.
  • New “deep-dive” workshops: Intensive sessions, part of the main Conference and at no extra charge, with participants limited to 50 people per session.
  • New lower rate: Just $999 for all IMA members.

Participants can choose from more than 70 sessions and create a custom learning experience along eight Specialty Tracks. Attendees can earn up to 24 ICMA CPE credits (maximum of 22.5 NASBA credits).

Among the featured keynote speakers who have already committed to participate:

  • Katty Kay, BBC World News America lead anchor and best-selling author
  • Tyler Schultz, Theranos whistleblower and entrepreneur
  • Gregory Offner, ARM, Chief disruption evangelist
  • Ramsés Gallego, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP, CCSK, security, risk, and governance international director, Micro Focus
  • Marsha Hunt, CPA, board member, Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)

Commenting on the new condensed schedule and other changes, Debbie Warner, CAE, CPLP, IMA vice president, Education and Career Services, said, “We value our members’ time and now offer an enhanced Conference with comparable CPE credits in fewer days. We trust these enhancements will add value and provide participants with great networking, exceptional education, and lasting memories.”

Warner noted that the Conference’s eight Specialty Tracks map back to IMA’s Enhanced Management Accounting Competency Framework. “We have a stronger focus on technology and analytics, ethics, and strategy, planning, and performance,” she explained. “These are management accounting practice areas that are particularly top of mind for our members. Best of all, attendees can register for all of their sessions in one track or pick and choose from multiple tracks to best suit their career needs.”

She also mentioned the appeal of the Atlanta location, which boasts an international airport: About 80% of the U.S. is within a two-hour flight of the site of this year’s Conference. “Atlanta makes it easy!” she said.
