“We updated the myIMA Network to make it a more user-friendly experience for our members,” said Christine Purelis, IMA social media and product marketing specialist. “We hope that all members will avail themselves of this easily accessible and exclusive member benefit. We’re happy to provide this forum for our members to exchange ideas and get professional advice, as our members around the world are invaluable sources of information and expertise for one another.”
One recent post, for example, had a member searching for help after returning to school, to study accounting, after a long hiatus. She requested assistance; she received numerous responses in just one day. As she posted on the site: “I can't sufficiently express my overwhelming gratitude for the multiple responses I woke up to this morning.”
The new myIMA Network also allows members access to the IMA Speakers Bureau, which provides qualified lecture talent to keynote, moderate, or participate on panels and roundtables at finance and accounting-related events, meetings, and conferences.
