At IMA’s Annual Conference & Expo in San Diego last month, ICMA® (Institute of Certified Management Accountants) honored an organization for its long-time support of the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) program and recognized numerous outstanding IMA chapters.
Joining a group of prestigious organizations committed to excellence, Perdue Farms – the fourth-generation, family-owned U.S. food and agriculture company – was the recipient of this year’s Bulloch Award. Dana Morgan, director of customer accounting, accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
The Bulloch Award is given annually to an organization that has demonstrated outstanding sponsorship, encouragement, and support of the CMA program. It honors the memory of Dr. James Bulloch, the first managing director of ICMA. Bulloch helped to create the original CMA framework as well as develop the high standards of the CMA program that continues to be followed today. Previous Bulloch Award winners have included Phillips, Ping An Insurance, IBM, Cummins, China South Industries Group, and Johnson & Johnson.
“ICMA is pleased to recognize the support of Perdue Farms, which has encouraged their employees to pursue the CMA certification,” said Paul E. Juras, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, ICMA Board of Regents Chair (fiscal year 2018-2019). “Their sponsorship of training programs demonstrates their commitment to helping their staff achieve mastery of key accounting and finance skills, especially decision support, planning, and analysis. We look forward to continued collaboration with companies such as Perdue as they take steps to bring the CMA program to their organizations.”

Winners were recognized in two divisions, large and small, and in IMA's four global regions.
