Addressing the growing trend in adult education that suggests learners are seeking creative ways to earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) has introduced a new mini-course alternative: IMA MicroCPE™.

IMA’s first-ever micro learning subscription package, IMA MicroCPE is worth up to 14+ NASBA CPE credits. Easily accessible online and averaging about 10 minutes in length, the 70+ video-based courses allow professionals to learn bit by bit – anywhere, anytime, at their own convenience.

IMA MicroCPE is considered nano learning, which is defined by NASBA (Nationals Association of State Boards of Accountancy) as a “tutorial program designed to permit a participant to learn a given subject in a ten-minute timeframe through the use of electronic media (including technology applications and processes and computer-based or web-based technology) and without interaction with a real-time instructor.”

Increasing in popularity on a global scale due in part to broad internet accessibility and the need for quick, on-the-run learning opportunities, IMA MicroCPE is perfect for busy IMA members, especially those in the China, Europe, and Middle East/Africa regions.

These new nano learning courses cover a variety of subjects relevant to management accounting such as revenue recognition, fraud risk, financial statements, and financial analysis, at varying levels of education (basic, intermediate, and advanced). Each course includes two final assessment questions that must be successfully answered to earn .20 NASBA CPE credit.

Professionals will earn a total of 14+ CPE credits once all of the mini-courses are completed. The subscription package is available for one year after the purchase date. IMA members receive special discounted pricing at $79 ($99 for nonmembers).
