Prof Dr Mike Schulze Named IMA Europe Honorary Professor-in-Residence

SchulzeIMA Europe recently welcomed Prof. Dr. Mike Schulze as the new honorary professor-in-residence.

In this role, Schulze will be one of IMA’s top academic volunteer leaders, serving as the liaison between IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) and the university communities in Europe, helping to grow the next generation of accountants and expand the profession as a whole.

Schulze is vice dean and professor of controlling, accounting, and financial management at CBS International Business School in Mainz, Germany. He has served on the CBS faculty since 2017. Prior to that, he was head of the research area and, subsequently, research director of controlling and innovation at Strascheg Institute for Innovation, Transformation, and Entrepreneurship (SITE) at EBS Universität in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany. His areas of research and consulting include digitization in management accounting; integrated reporting; sustainability accounting/green controlling; strategic and operational planning; energy management and energy controlling; and more. He has published numerous articles and co-written and edited books on these and other topics.

Schulze completed his doctoral studies in business administration at EBS. He earned his M.BC in business consulting from the University of Applied Sciences in Wismar, Germany; and his M.Sc. in business administration from the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich.
