IMA Europe Forges New Strategic Partnership

IMA Europe recently formed new strategic relationships with several organizations in the region:

TÜRMOB

IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) recently signed a cooperation agreement with TÜRMOB, the Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants of Turkey, the national professional body in Turkey.

Under the new partnership, the two organizations will work together to strengthen the international position of Turkish finance professionals. As part of the agreement, TÜRMOB will promote dual membership with IMA and the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) program, and both associations will work together on research and thought leadership.

Alain Mulder, managing director, IMA Europe operations, said, “We are pleased to announce IMA’s partnership with TÜRMOB. We recognize the importance of continuing to expand the CMA program in Turkey. Our collaboration with TÜRMOB will help us bring the benefits of the CMA to TÜRMOB members, enabling them to pursue a career in an international business environment where they bring added value beyond the numbers.”

He continued, “Both IMA and TÜRMOB are committed to promoting professional development in finance and accounting, and to promoting the importance of qualified, creative professionals.”

Vistula University

Vistula University, in Poland, recently started an international partnership with IMA Europe, recognizing Vistula’s development and strong foothold in management research and education, specifically in management accounting.

As part of the collaboration, IMA and Vistula will support the management accounting profession by promoting the CMA certification among Vistula's accounting and business programs. Students will be eligible for CMA Scholarships and the university will be recognized internationally by IMA.

Noted Mulder, “We’re excited to start the collaboration with Vistula University and develop a wave of world-class management accounting students in Poland and abroad. Many thanks go to Tom Hashimoto, director of international cooperation and assistant professor of economics and management at Vistula University, and Professor Wawrzyniec Konarski, rector at Vistula University, for making this partnership possible.

Business Partnering Institute

IMA Europe also forged a partnership with Business Partnering Institute, which helps finance professionals and businesses run successful transformation projects and create true impact. Together, the two organizations will aim to create value and impact for each other, support members in their journey to higher education, and promote the CMA certification.
