To our IMA members in Europe:
With the outbreak of the coronavirus, people worldwide are restricted in their travels and many of us are working from home across Europe. IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) offers our heartfelt support to those directly or indirectly affected by this public health crisis. IMA’s approach to this challenge has been simple: to demonstrate care and social responsibility for the safety and well-being of our stakeholders, including our staff, our professionals and students in 150 countries, and our partners. Your health and safety are our number-one concern.
As most of you are aware, we have had to postpone or cancel all of our planned events in March and April, including a Women’s Accounting Leadership Series event and a Management Accounting Conference in Geneva, and a Future of Finance event and a Student Leadership Conference in Paris. We will keep you updated as to when and if these events are rescheduled. Please watch your email for details.
During this difficult time when we are limiting in-person interactions, members may want to consider some of IMA’s resources that enable them to network and learn virtually. For our members, we have several online educational products to facilitate their online learning. This includes free-of-charge webinars, podcasts, and also paid online CPE courses and microcourses on various topics. To access all these online training courses, please go to www.imanet.org and click on “Education Center.”
Also, several CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) review course providers offer virtual classes for CMA candidates in Europe preparing for the exam. We will provide more information about these virtual CMA classes on our social channels and www.imanet.org, so please stay tuned for more information.
I always welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions at amulder@imanet.org.
Stay safe, everyone.
