College and university students in Europe also will have the opportunity to build their professional network and gain job-search insights at two IMA Student Leadership Conferences in Europe, the first at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences & Arts in Rotkruez on 22 October 2019.
The event will bring together students from across Europe and provide a forum to engage in interactive dialogue with seasoned practitioners and esteemed educators. The half-day program will take place from 15:00 to 18:00 and will be offered free of charge to both students and practitioners (registration is capped at 100). The lineup of guest speakers, who are experts in the fields of accounting and leadership, includes:
- Paul Juras, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, IMA Global Chair Elect, 2019-2020, Vander Wolk Professor of Management Accounting & Operational Performance at Babson College
- Dennis Whitney, CMA, ICMA Senior Vice President, Certifications, Exams & Content Integration
- Prof. Dr. Stefan Hunziker, Head of Competence Center Risk & Compliance Management at Lucerne School of Business

Two days later, IMA will host another Student Leadership Conference in Moscow: on 24 October 2019, from 10:00 to 12:00, at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. Speakers will include:

In addition, IMA this fall will host its first Women’s Accounting Leadership Series event in Germany. This is an engaging and interactive forum, free of charge to attend, that provides relevant professional development and support for the advancement of women in accounting and finance.
