Thanks to the efforts of staff and volunteer leaders in the region, IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is gaining an increased presence in Europe. We’ve enjoyed an exciting quarter and even had the opportunity to open the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, which you’ll read about in this newsletter. IMA continues to support finance and accounting professionals to prepare for the digital future and stay relevant. That future has already begun. So, I want to repeat the call to action of IMA President and CEO Jeff Thomson, CMA, CSCA, CAE: It is time to prepare yourself and your team now!

On 22 November 2018, IMA and this year?s corporate recognition event winner, leading telecom provider KPN, opened the Stock Exchange in Amsterdam.

Management Accounting Road Show in Europe

Across Europe, several corporations recently contacted us to get more information about the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) program for their staff. Corporations are seeing the added value of this internationally recognized certification, which is the benchmark for management accountants and financial professionals.

Therefore, we are currently finalizing the schedule for a management accounting roadshow, and I would like to share this opportunity with you. The goal is to present recent trends in management accounting and how the CMA certification can assist your finance and accounting employees or colleagues to become experts in decision support, planning, data analysis, and critical thinking.

We are conducting 45-minute management accounting presentations at select organizations across Europe between 14 January and 15 February, 2019. If you would like us to do a presentation at your company, please contact me directly via email at amulder@imanet.org.

Thank You, IMA Volunteers!
A few weeks ago, we had several chapter events across Europe with Jeff Thomson as speaker. I would like to thank all the IMA volunteers for the great organization of these high-quality chapter events.

I always welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions at amulder@imanet.org.
