IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) continued its popular Faculty Friday series recently, with several more opportunities planned for academics and students in the coming months.

Faculty Fridays

On December 17, 2021, Monique Kelley, CPA, from Fresno City College, and Wendy Tietz, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, from Kent State University, discussed teaching accounting using student-focused techniques that resonate with a tech savvy audience. You can view the copy of their innovative presentation, “TikTok and Other Apps to Connect with Today’s Accounting Students,” on YouTube.

Looking into the coming months, scheduled Faculty Friday talks will include:

April 22: “Integrating ESG and Sustainability into the Curriculum,” featuring Kristine Brands, CMA, assistant professor of management at the United States Air Force Academy.

June 3: This Faculty Friday will feature the winning authors of the Carl Menconi Ethics Case Writing Competition (to be published in the July 2022 issue of Strategic Finance) and the Curt Verschoor Ethics Feature of the Year (to be published in the March 2022 issue).
