IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) has two exciting events planned for the fall of 2022 that students and faculty won’t want to miss:

Virtual Student Career Fair: September 9

Join us for our second annual Virtual Student Career Fair, featuring companies looking to recruit students for internships and full-time entry level positions. Last year’s event was a rousing success, attracting more than 500 attendees who learned about opportunities at 18 major companies across the United States. We’re looking to make this year’s event even better.

Free for all IMA student and educator members (and only $25 for nonstudent members, which includes one year of IMA student membership), this half-day event will include a kick-off keynote session related to the profession and a three-hour career fair.

Registration opens August 8, so watch your email for more information and registration details.

In-Person Student Leadership Conference: October 20-22 in Pittsburgh

IMA’s popular Student Leadership Conference is back in person.

Join friends old and new for three days of networking, knowledge, and fun at the IMA Student Leadership Conference. This year’s event will be held at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown on October 20-22. It’s the ideal opportunity for students to spend time with like-minded peers and acquire important knowledge and skills to help prepare for future career success. Conference registration will officially open on September 6 at www.imaslc.org.

Conference attendees will:

  • Gain insights about trending topics from industry experts and inspiring keynote speakers
  • Participate in pre-conference industry tours to well-known companies and talk with members of their accounting and finance teams
  • Meet with recruiters from leading companies looking to fill internships and entry-level positions

Headlining the conference will be keynote speaker Charlie Batch, former NFL quarterback-turned-motivational speaker and entrepreneur.

The conference also will include fun activities, such as an evening networking event featuring the popular SLC T-shirt design competition. Defending their title will be the 2021 champions CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and Athens State University.

Jodi Ryan, CAE, IMA director of member engagement, said, “Pittsburgh is a great city that offers a wide range of opportunities to explore—cultural, corporate, and cuisine—and it’s wonderful that we will be able to meet in person this year. We look forward to bringing together students and their professors to share this educational, inspirational, and fun three-day experience.”
