Here’s something to look forward to: “Power Your Potential” and join friends old and new for three days of networking, knowledge, and fun at IMA’s Student Leadership Conference (SLC). This year’s event will be held at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown in Pittsburgh, Pa., November 12-14. It’s the ideal opportunity for students to spend time with like-minded peers and acquire important knowledge and skills to help prepare for future career success. Conference registration will officially open on September 8 at www.imaslc.org.

Conference attendees will:

  • Gain insights about trending topics from industry experts and inspiring keynote speakers
  • Participate in pre-conference industry tours to well-known companies and talk with members of their accounting and finance teams
  • Meet with recruiters from leading companies looking to fill internships and entry-level positions

The conference also will include fun activities, such as the Friday night networking event featuring the popular SLC T-shirt design competition. Defending their title will be the 2019 co-champions Athens State University and the University of Texas at El Paso.

Jodi Ryan, CAE, IMA director of member engagement, said, “Pittsburgh is a great city that boasts a wide range of opportunities to explore – cultural, corporate, and cuisine. This event continues to grow in popularity every year as more and more students (and their professors) recognize the value of this educational, inspirational, and fun three-day experience.”
