Meet friends old and new for three days of knowledge, networking, and fun at this year’s IMA® Student Leadership Conference (SLC), to be held at The Westin Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C., on November 14-16, 2019. It’s the ideal opportunity for students to spend time with like-minded peers and acquire skills to help land that first professional position. Save the date: Conference registration officially opens on September 3 at www.imaslc.org.
Conference attendees will:
Jodi Ryan, CAE, IMA director of member engagement, said, “We’re excited about holding this conference in Charlotte, which we expect will attract hundreds of students and academics from across the U.S. We’ve scheduled some fantastic speakers, who will share their knowledge to help students hone their career-building skills, plus plenty of social activities for networking and fun.”
Noted Ryan, “Now’s the time for students and student chapters to begin planning their fundraising activities to help defray conference expenses. Contact your parent IMA professional chapter, and consider ideas that have been successful for others in the past, including crowdfunding, car washes, concession stand sales, and more. Look for unusual and untapped resources – you might be surprised by your success!”
