IMA? (Institute of Management Accountants) is sad to announce the passing of Kenneth J. Euske on August 11, 2018.
Ken had most recently served as distinguished professor at the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy at Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, Calif., where he had taught since 1978. During his tenure, he served as dean of the school in 2001-2002. While at NPS, Ken was a visiting professor of accounting at several institutions: the University of Southern California?s School of Accounting; the University of Virginia?s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration; and the University of California, Berkeley.
He earned his Ph.D. from Arizona State University, his MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College, and his AB from Gonzaga University.
Ken was an active member of the Management Accounting Section (MAS) of the American Accounting Association (AAA), serving as president of the MAS in 2006-2007. An IMA member since 1979, he also was involved in various research initiatives at IMA, and was published in both Strategic Finance magazine and Management Accounting Quarterly.
