IMA? (Institute of Management Accountants) continues its popular ?Faculty Friday? webinar series this fall with two consecutive sessions on the topic of ethics. These hour-long presentations are available exclusively to IMA educator members and cover in-demand topics that can add energy to the classroom experience.
?
Both sessions will be taught by Susan Wolcott, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, independent scholar and professional education thought leader with WolcottLynch Associates, on November 30, 2018. The sessions will cover:
?
Using an Ethical Reasoning Model to Teach Ethics (Time: 1 p.m. ? 2 p.m. EST): Wolcott will introduce an ethical reasoning model and demonstrate how to use the model to teach and grade/assess ethical reasoning in an accounting course. Register by visiting this link.
?
Helping Students Develop an Ethical Mindset (Time: 2:30 p.m. ? 3:30 p.m. EST): Wolcott will discuss how ethics rules and development of ethical reasoning skills do not guarantee ethical behavior. She?ll explore frameworks that accounting educators can use to help their students develop an ethical mindset. Register by visiting this link.
?
Educators can sign up for either or both of the sessions, which each offer one hour of NASBA CPE credit. Preregistration is required.
?
The Faculty Friday series also offers archived versions of its live webinars, which can be accessed on the IMA website at any time. Note that recorded webinars are NOT eligible for CPE credit. Specific topics covered:
