“Upskill with the CMA” Webinar Coming November 8

For those looking to learn more about the CMA exam, IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) is offering a special free “Upskill with the CMA” webinar on November 8 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET. Members can register here

During this interactive discussion, candidates will hear from CMAs as they explore why the CMA is a global passport, helping to create true business partners that drive strategy and decision making. The discussion will feature a “fireside chat” with three panelists, all CMAs working in a variety of roles and industries, who will discuss the value of the CMA to their careers and their organizations. Discussion topics will include:

  • The changing role of the modern CFO’s organization
  • The benefits of earning the CMA
  • The content and structure of the CMA exam
  • The steps to becoming a CMA

Hosting the webinar will be Randall Kurtz, IMA strategic account manager, and Mitra Kleinberg, IMA manager of strategic partnerships. CMA Candidate Webinars

IMA’s popular CMA Candidate Webinars provide useful, timely information to help candidates prepare to take the exam. These free, one-hour webinars offer study tips, insights from previous exam-takers, and strategies that can help candidates make the most of their study time.

The final candidate webinar for 2022 was held on October 25. In that session, “The CMA Exam: Navigating Multiple-Choice Questions,” speakers covered a general overview of the exam content, followed by some study tips that can be helpful in preparing for the exam. Hosted by Mary Patterson, IMA business development manager, the webinar featured Amy Ford and Kate Reese, who discussed the importance of establishing a regular study schedule; creating your own flashcards and notes; studying topics you find difficult or challenging; and more.
