Candidate Webinar Series

The CMA Candidate Webinar Series takes places three times per year and is led by IMA staff and outside experts who offer helpful guidance to increase your chances of exam success. Stay tuned for more details about dates planned for 2022.

The most recent candidate webinar, “The CMA Exam: Navigating Multiple-Choice Questions,” took place on October 26 and featured presenters Mary Patterson, IMA academic outreach manager; Amy Ford, CMA, CPA, senior instructor, Western Illinois University; and Sarah Reith, CMA, manager, capital markets and investments, IBM.

In their session, Patterson, Ford, and Reith provided an overview of the exam content, followed by study tips, such as:

  • Establish a regular study schedule
  • Don’t spent too much time studying content you already know; focus on topics you find difficult and challenging
  • Create your own flashcards with formulas or terms
  • Write out notes, in your own words, to enhance the learning process

Free B Certified Pro Webinars

Through a special arrangement, CMA candidates can take advantage of a special free opportunity with B Certified Pro, which is offering two four-hour problem-solving sessions with renowned instructor and expert coach Gaby Lahoud, CMA, CSCA, CFA, PMP.

“Upskill with the CMA” Webinar

For those looking to learn more about the CMA exam, IMA is offering a special free “Upskill with the CMA” webinar on November 9 from 1-2 p.m. ET.

During this interactive discussion, you’ll hear from CMAs as they explore why the CMA is a global passport, helping to create true business partners that drive strategy and decision making. The discussion will feature a “fireside chat” with three panelists, all CMAs working in a variety of roles and industries, who will discuss the value of the CMA to their careers and their organizations.
