As we approach the close of 2025, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to every member of the IMA community. The progress we made is a direct reflection of the strength and passion of our global membership.

2025 has been a year of meaningful momentum. The accounting and finance profession continues to change rapidly. Technology, data, and shifting business expectations are reshaping the skills required to lead. Through it all, your engagement has reinforced the vital role IMA plays in preparing professionals to meet this moment with confidence.

Together, we advanced learning in powerful ways. Members participated in hundreds of thousands of learning engagements that strengthened both technical and leadership capabilities. Each engagement represented more than a number. It represented a choice to invest in your professional growth and to advance the profession as a whole.

Our chapters and councils continued to anchor our community. More than two thousand volunteers gave their time to host events, mentor rising talent, and create opportunities for connection. Their efforts brought the true spirit of IMA to life and reminded us that learning is stronger when shared.

2025 was also a year in which we expanded access to future-ready skills. We modernized the Management Accounting Competency Framework to reflect both the core skills and emerging capabilities that drive high-value decision-making. We continued to invest in the CMA as the global benchmark for management accounting expertise. We introduced the CMA exam in Japanese to support professionals in one of the world’s most dynamic markets. We launched new micro-credentials that give members targeted pathways to build skills at the pace of change. Each of these initiatives strengthens our promise to support lifelong learning.

Across every region, we saw the same pattern. Members, employers, and partners are looking to IMA for trusted guidance. They are choosing IMA because our focus is clear. We exist to empower accounting and finance professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead in a complex world. That purpose is the center of everything we do.

As we prepare for 2026, I am confident in our shared direction. The challenges facing the profession are real, yet so are the opportunities. The skills gap is expanding, yet we are addressing it through innovation, partnerships, and a learning ecosystem that continues to grow in reach and relevance. The world is changing quickly, yet the integrity and rigor that define our profession continue to guide us.

Thank you for your trust, your engagement, and your belief in the value of continuous learning. Thank you for the work you do each day to advance our profession and support your organizations. Thank you for being part of a community that strives to learn, to lead, and to make a meaningful impact.

I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the year ahead.
