IMA's Higher Education Endorsement Program, which recognizes accounting programs that meet high educational standards, enabling students to pursue and earn the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) certification, continues to attract esteemed colleges and universities globally. Currently, nearly 100 institutions around the world are endorsed under the IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) program.
To qualify for endorsement, schools must meet the following criteria: (1) the program must substantially cover the CMA exam content; (2) the program must have adequate faculty resources to deliver this content; (3) the program must be accredited by a recognized accreditation organization; and (4) a faculty member must be designated as an IMA Campus Advocate.
Among recently endorsed schools is NEOMA Business School, with campuses in Paris, Reims, and Rouen, France, which became endorsed this past summer. Over the years, NEOMA Business School has developed a strong foothold in management research and education, including in the accounting area. According to The Economist, NEOMA’s master’s in management program is ranked in the top 20 in the world.
IMA’s endorsement of NEOMA Business School master’s in management program sets a significant milestone for closer collaboration and ties to leverage each other's strengths as well as to spearhead knowledge in management accounting and finance.
In a press release announcing the endorsement, Alain Mulder, senior director, IMA Europe operations, said, “IMA congratulates NEOMA on this recognition and the quality of their management accounting curriculum. We are proud to welcome NEOMA to our large and prestigious group of endorsed schools and commend the education NEOMA provides.”
“I believe such collaboration is both timely and relevant,” said David Hyun, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, associate professor of NEOMA Business School. “I also am confident that this international partnership will drive a new wave of world-class developments in management accounting education.”
Other newly endorsed schools include: Assumption College; Kansas State University; Morgan State University; Utah Valley University; Colorado State University Global; and Texas A&M University-Commerce.
