IMA Receives ASAE 2017 Power of A Honors for its CareerDriver Online SelfAssessment Tool

Montvale, N.J., August 3, 2017 – IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession, has earned a 2017 ASAE (American Society of Association Executives) “Power of A” Sliver Award for its CareerDriver®  self-assessment  tool. ASAE honored IMA in “The Power to Create a Competitive Workforce” category.

Available as a benefit to IMA members, CareerDriver helps members evaluate their skillsets, create a personalized development plan and explore possible career paths in management accounting. Based on IMA’s Management Accounting Competency Framework, CareerDriver compares skillsets against 28 technical and leadership competencies, and matches them with the knowledge, skills and abilities of 40 common management accounting job titles. Members can identify competency gaps and leverage IMA’s educational programs as part of their professional development. To date, more than 3,500 IMA members have logged on, completing more than 1,600 career assessments and creating more than 1,300 personal development plans.
