ICMA Announces Winners of Bulloch and Corporate Recognition Awards

 – The ICMA® (Institute of Certified Management Accountants), the certification division of IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), announced the winners of the prestigious Bulloch and Corporate Recognition Awards. These honors were bestowed at the Annual Dinner ceremony, held during IMA’s 96th Annual Conference & Expo, in Los Angeles. 

Bulloch Award
Joining a group of prestigious organizations committed to excellence, Cummins Inc. was named the recipient of this year’s Bulloch Award. A global power leader, Cummins is a corporation of complementary business units that design, manufacture, distribute and service diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions, and electrical power generation systems. David Allen, executive director of Cummins, accepted this award on the company’s behalf. The Bulloch Award is given annually to an organization that has demonstrated outstanding sponsorship, encouragement, and support of the CMA program, honors the memory of Dr. James Bulloch, the first managing director of ICMA. Mr. Bulloch helped to create the original CMA framework as well as develop the high standards of the CMA program that continued to be followed today. 

Previous Bulloch Award winners have included Xerox Corporation, Saudi Aramco, Caterpillar, Johnson & Johnson, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), SAFEA (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs), and China South Industries Group. 

ICMA Board of Regents Corporate Recognition Award
Recognized for its support of the CMA program was Hormel Foods Corporation, which was honored with this year’s ICMA Board of Regents Corporate Recognition Award. Based in Austin, Minn., Hormel is a multinational manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, brand-name food and meat products for consumers throughout the world. Last year, Lafarge, a world leader in building materials, was honored with this award. Accepting the award on Hormel’s behalf was Jim Sheehan, Hormel vice president and controller.
