Women’s Accounting Leadership Series Comes to Amsterdam

In honor of International Women’s Day, IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) and NBA (Koninklijke Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants—The Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants) will host its popular Women's Accounting Leadership Series event in Europe next month: on March 8, 2018, at the Vrije University Auditorium in Amsterdam.

The Women’s Accounting Leadership Series, created by women, for women, provides a forum for women in accounting and finance to share thoughts and experiences on leadership development and strategies for success. Attendees will have the opportunity to expand their professional network, learn how to manage professional challenges and achieve work/life balance, and develop executive skills to optimize their talent.

The half-day event will include presentations on:

  • “Train Your Brain and Become Your Best Self”
    Prof. Dr. Margriet Sitskoorn, Professor of Cognitive Neuropsychology, Tilburg University
  • “A CFO’s Career Journey”
    Annemiek van Melick, CFO, de Volksbank
  • “Strategies for Professional Success”
    Panelists will share experiences and challenges they’ve faced in their careers, and will provide insights and advice to attendees. Featuring:
    • Deborah Cheng, RA, Finance Director, Trimb Healthcare NL
    • Gwen Van Berne, CMA, CFO, RIPE NCC
    • Ginger White, CMA, IMA Chair-Elect; Corporate Purchasing Finance Director at Cummins Inc.

In addition to gaining valuable insights into advancing their careers, attendees will earn three (3) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. The cost of the event is €35 (approximately $40 USD) per person and includes a light breakfast and an informal lunch.
