IMA and Wiley Partner with Singapore’s Nanyang Business School in Higher Education Endorsement Program

IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) – one of the largest associations of accountants and finance professionals in business – announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with global publishing company John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and Nanyang Business School (NBS), the business school of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), sealing a commitment to enhance the education and professional recognition of NBS students.

IMA is collaborating with NTU, one of Singapore’s top two universities, to roll out the Higher Education Endorsement Program for accounting students at NBS. The Program recognizes business curricula that have superior educational standards to help students become ready and qualified to earn the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant), the world’s leading certification in management accounting.

Through this partnership, NBS students will also be able to tap into IMA’s network, among the widest and most respected within the profession, and access resources such as scholarships, internships, and career management assistance. Students will be able to participate in case competitions, research projects, webinars, joint seminars, and conferences. These opportunities will allow them to enhance their learning and discover numerous possibilities for building an actionable future within the profession.

In addition, Wiley will provide students with access to Wiley CMAexcel, IMA’s official test preparation study material, and a suite of teaching materials, resources, and journals to NBS faculty for both reference and research purposes.

According to Josh Heniro, IMA director, Southeast Asia Operations, “The innovation and advancement of technology have profoundly changed today’s business models. The more complex an organization becomes, the more it needs management accounting tools and techniques. The CMA ensures that tomorrow’s leaders have the skills they need to succeed.”

IMA opened its latest international office in Singapore in 2016 to foster growing ties with the nation and the strengthening of an education system that already serves as a benchmark for much of Southeast Asia.
