This certificate is suitable for anyone looking to do an introductory qualification in management accounting. This includes school leavers or those already working in accounts-support roles.
On completion you will be awarded a jointly branded certificate by IMA (Institute of Management Accounting) and ACCA.

To achieve the Management Accounting Foundation Certificate - which is part of the Foundations in Accountancy suite of qualifications - you will need to register with ACCA by completing an online application form. Please visit www.accaglobal.com/applynow.
After you are register as a student on Foundations in Accountancy to earn your Management Accounting Foundation Certificate you will need to complete:
- Two exams: Management Information (MA1) and Maintaining Costs and Finance (MA2).
- A professionalism and ethics module called Foundations in Professionalism.
There is no time limit. You can sit for the exams on demand as computer-based exams or choose to sit for paper-based exams in June and December at one of ACCA's 380 exam centers around the world. You can complete Foundations in Professionalism before or after the exams. It is possible to complete this certificate in six months or less.
