IMA’s most innovative courses bring together certified and non-certified management accounting professionals from different cultures and career stages to learn with and from each other.
Much of what it takes to excel in the field of management accounting can’t be learned through self-study alone. It comes from learning with other professionals, collaborating about relevant issues and challenges together, and creating new ideas that can only be achieved by interacting with others.
IMA’s Learning Communities contain courses focused on bringing together targeted communities of management accountants; people from a range of job titles, spanning a variety of industries, who share a common need to learn about a similar, specialized topic. Each course qualifies for IMA continuing education credit.
Our Learning Community courses can take several different forms:
- structured and facilitated discussion threads focused on a specific learning topic;
- multimedia-rich content presented in a compact course in a flexible format with virtual dialogues and expert support
- wiki-type text content combined with facilitated discussion threads and Web-meeting resources; features that allow the virtual community to evolve course content and dynamically learn together.
Coming Soon… specialized learning communities in hot topics such as Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
