The CMA program consists of four examinations:

Part 1: Business Analysis
      - 3 hours, 110 multiple choice questions
Part 2: Management Accounting and Reporting
      - 4 hours, 140 multiple choice questions
Part 3: Strategic Management
      - 3 hours, 110 multiple choice questions
Part 4: Business Applications
      - 3 hours, 3-7 written-response essays and problems

Parts 1, 2, and 3 must be passed before registering for Part 4. Score reports for the first three parts are immediately available at the testing center. Results for Part 4 are mailed 6 weeks after the close of the testing window.

On Part 4 you will be asked to use a spreadsheet for selected question(s). While you are required to enter your answer into the spreadsheet, you are not required to use the functions that are available. You are free to use a calculator or the present value tables to calculate your answer and enter the numbers into the spreadsheet. Before you sit for the exam we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the spreadsheet by practicing with the demo, which can be found at www.prometric.com/icma. You may have to download software onto your computer to be able to use the spreadsheet demo. During the exam, please do not spend too much time formatting your response.

All examinations are computer-based and offered by Prometric, a worldwide network of testing centers. The exam is offered according to the following schedule:
