Effective July 1, 2008, CMA candidates who entered the certification program prior to July will be able to purchase 6 months access to the CMA Exam Support Package. Included in this package are 4 downloadable and printable Q&A books, 1,000 recently retired questions, and an online assessment tool with multiple choice exams for parts 1 to 3 and a sample essay exam for part 4.

The CMA Q&A publications are downloadable books in PDF format of sample questions and answers for the revised CMA exam. These books will help you prepare for the tests by familiarizing you with the types of questions that you will encounter on the exams. Part 1 and Part 3 books include 55 sample questions. The Part 2 book includes 65 sample questions, with a proportional representation from each of the sections within the particular part. The Part 4 book includes 23 sample written response questions. The answers to the questions, along with explanations and supporting calculations, are shown at the end of the question section. Many of these questions are included in the online exams in the CMA Exam Support Package.

The 1,000 newly retired exam questions with answers are multiple choice questions that were retired from the CMA exam in 2007. They will be available in a downloadable PDF format.

The online assessment tool is a web testing program that allows you to test yourself on information from all four parts of the CMA body of knowledge covered in the Certified Management Accountant certification exam.

The four tests in this assessment are representative of the content and structure of the actual exam by part and by section:

• Part 1: Business Analysis – 110 multiple-choice questions
• Part 2: Management Accounting and Reporting – 140 multiple-choice questions
• Part 3: Strategic Management – 110 multiple-choice questions
• Part 4: A selection of essay question examples.

These tests allow you to target your studying and assess your ability to undertake the CMA program. Each time you complete one of the multiple-choice tests, you will receive an email indicating specific sections where you may need additional study. There is no scoring associated with the essay question test presented here. Use this test to judge your ability to compose answers based on case scenarios, drawing on material from all parts of the CMA body of knowledge.

This CMA Exam Support Package is included in the $200 certification entrance fee for candidates joining the CMA program as of July 1, 2008.
